This is a tangent from the last post I did.
So many people go on and on about how high school is the best. It’s not!
I don’t think the best years of my life will come along until I have kids. High school was alright. No major complaints… Got my fun in I think. Still got another year left, but it’s not THE BEST. College will be cool. Freedom. Parties. More stuff to do. But it’s mainly just the same stuff kids do in High School… But more legal. Getting a job will be fun, but definitely not the best years. Getting married will be amazing and wonderful. Definitely gonna be second best in my life. But the moment I have a little baby girl and her little brother… That’s when my life really kicks up.

Not all people… Just most of them. A large portion of them. Especially my fellow classmates who think they are SOO grown-up. They all wanna go party and get wasted and shit like that. I’m ALL FOR IT! Go have fun. If you can hold ur liquor. If you can’t then you really shouldn’t be drinking at all. That just gets obnoxious. Got vomit on my carpet and you are fallin on the floor… Nobody wants to see that. :/
That was random. I don’t know what made me think of those dumb party kids… The ones that more commonly annoy me are the ones who think I enjoy talking to them so they try and talk to me. Or the ones who obviously piss me off, and they know it, who try and get rides home from school from me. Get off my nuts! It’s Obnoxious!
High School is overrated. If you think these are the best years of your life, or you are even going to miss this hell-hole… Just take a long walk off of a short pier so I don’t have to hear you complain about growing up. These aren’t the best years of your life… If they are… That’s pathetic.

My dad’s side is so obnoxious. I see where he got it. :/

I caved and I’m back on it. I’m too out of the loop without it. :P

Crazy shit right? Who knew that if a country that needs every person doing their job to function, that a bunch of riots (and people not doing their jobs) would lead down a bad path? Mumbarak (Spelling?) is gone. But who/what will take his place?

I was just watching some really amazing music videos of Big D & the Kids Table and I noticed something quite peculiar… People on Youtube bitch… A lot. It’s so stupid the way they complain. They go on videos just to bag on someone’s music, when most of the time, they don’t have the stones to make their own band. But that’s not the most peculiar part. That is to be expected I suppose.
What really surprised me is that the kinds of people who were complaining were fans of Big D! They were not complaining that the band sucks… They were complaining that the band “changed” their sound. Some went so far as to call the “new” sound “generic pop”! No. Not even close. They complained that Big D used to be punk music and they “sold out” to be more famous. If that were so, we would hear their amazing songs on the radio, and I have not. Just because a band decides internally to change their sound a bit, doesn’t make that band a sell out. Or even make them a bad band. It makes them a great band! Let me explain…
If a band were to keep its music exactly the same at all times… they would turn into the TYPE of band that Justine Bieber is. A flare up on the radar that will be gone very soon. A band survives not by changing their sound to the most popular thing… But by playing the kind of stuff they want to play in a new, fresh way. Big D went from fighting the establishment, loud, young punks to music-loving, passionate, adults.
I liked Big D when they put out How it Goes. I liked them more when they put out Strictly Rude. I love them now that they have put out Fluent in Stroll. And I’m sure when they put out The Damned, The Dumb, and The Delirious, I will love them EVEN more. By changing their sound a little with each album, they change their sound enough to keep me intrigued with them. And now I have a wide range of “Big D’s” to listen to.
That is what bands need to do. Keeps all bands fresh and keeps us on our toes. We shouldn’t know what to expect when a band puts out a new album.
